It too will have worn keys in a few months, and then I'll have two bad, new keyboards, and one old one that looks fine. Given that this is clearly a manufacturing quality issue, specifically the choice of ink used, what is Microsoft going to do to correct this? Although one of them is still new in the box, my wife wants me to connect it for her as hers is worn out. They are model number 1048, made in China. The new keyboards are black with white lettering. Have used it daily, for years, and there is no wear at all on the keys.
